Sherman M4 in Iranian service

Procurements following WWII included 15 M-4 Sherman tanks ordered in 1950 and 100 M-24 light tanks in 1953.
During Irana-Irak war 1980-1988 a number of M-36B1, Sherman and M-24 tanks were also deployed with the 151st infantry battalion under the 92nd armored division, though in a purely secondary capacity.

Some Sherman and M-36B1 were captured by Iraq during the 1980s only to be recaptured by US forces in 2003.

The kit is a conversion and scartch from several pieces.

Its is painted in irak color (Vallejo irak sand 819).
